Note 5’s Features

5.99 inch screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio

Redmi Note 5 is the one with the largest display in the Redmi Series. But more important than this is its aspect ratio of 18:9 which gives you 2160 x 1080 FHD+ resolution.

This aspect ratio enables you to see or read more without having the need to slide the screen for several times. It also fits more content even when your keyboard is up.

Another advantage is that it is easier and more comfortable to hold because even though it has a bigger screen, it is more compact.

Snapdragon 636 Octa-core processor

Note 5 is armed with SD 636 chipset and powered by 4000mAh battery. The chipset is so power-efficient which is really nice specially if you love to play games or do movie marathons.

It’s memory capacity is packaged with  4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage expandable by up to 256GB via microSD card.

Camera & Video

Its rear camera, powered by dual pixel PDAF, is composed of a 12MP main sensor and a 5MP as secondary. With the dual pixel PDAF added, the phone detects focus relatively faster compared to the past phones of the Redmi series.

On the other hand, the front camera has a 13MP sensor and is supported by a secondary flash. This is actually a lot of help for selfie lovers because it can light up your face.

Both rear and front cameras are assisted by AI for its scene detection and beautification. And the video quality it creates is 1080p/720p with 30 frames per second.

Fingerprint reader

Like the other Redmi phones, it has a fingerprint reader at the back that takes less than a second to unlock the phone!

Initial Verdict

With all the features of Redmi Note 5, it is something we would look forward to buy. Specially with its cameras that maximized the power of AI and processor that offers power-efficiency, we can initially tag it as great value for money.
