U.S. Customs Computers in Atlanta Down

U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson in Washington D.C. has confirmed the outage of their computers primarily in Atlanta. This outage cause the delays of flights as some of the processes are done manually.

According to NBC news the specific computer system that was affected was the system of the Department of Homeland Security which checks for passengers against it’s terror watch list. Customs and Border protection stated however that there are no indications that the outage was of malicious cause.

The outage caused several flight delays and passengers took to twitter in order to show the inconveniences they have been experiencing.

 
As of now according to reports, the system has been restored.
