Elon Musk Returns to Twitter to Endorse Dogecoin and He is Now a Meme

A few days after Elon Musk has announced through a tweet that he is taking a break from Twitter, he has finally returned. Upon his return, the first posts he has made using the platform involves SpaceX’s Falcon 9, and then he quickly transitioned on to endorsing the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.

Tweeting “Doge” as a reply to another tweet of his was just the beginning. What came next was the tweet that took the attention of many people; it is a meme from the Disney movie The Lion King with a Shiba Inu dog’s, the logo for the cryptocurrency, and Elon Musk’s faces on it. As of today, the said tweet already has over a thousand retweets. He has over 45 Million followers on the platform after all.

If you think that it all stopped with the meme, then you are wrong. More tweets about Dogecoin followed and those also gained a lot of attention. Here are the rest of Elon Musk’s tweets endorsing the cryptocurrency.

Reports say that Musk’s tweets has led the price of Dogecoin to surge. “Dogecoin’s market value now sits at almost $7 billion, making it the 12th biggest among cryptocurrencies, according to CoinMarketCap,” stated Bloomberg as of February 4, 2021, 7:36 PM (GMT+8).
