In this Blog Post:
It’s that time of the year again, it’s Superbowl! , aside from the game itself, there are a lot of things to see in this sports spectacle, like the halftime show and of course the Superbowl ads!
Google Superbowl Ad
One thing that caught our attention is the Google ad entitled “Loretta”, that has a similar format with their 2010 Superbowl ads with the title “Parisian Love”. It shows a screen and you can hear the voice of an old man. From the looks of it, it seems that the old man is trying to “save” his memories using Google’s technology.
From Google
According to Lorraine Twohill, Google’s Chief Marketing Officer, the ad would reflect their goal to “build products that would help people in their daily lives, in both big and small ways”.
The story was inspired by the story of a Googler’s grandfather. The voice you hear in the commercial is in fact the said grandfather.
Comparing the Two Google Ads
Comparing the “Parisian Love” Superbowl ads 10 years ago with this year’s “Loretta” Superbowl ads you will notice how far Google technologies are now since then. Ten years ago people would type in their search on Google Search, today you can use your voice and do a lot more than search the web.
