It was announced by Microsoft on Monday, February 1, 2021, that Azure Quantum is now open for business.
According to Microsoft, Azure Quantum is the world’s first full-stack, public cloud ecosystem for quantum solutions.
“The transition to Public Preview of Azure Quantum is a key milestone for quantum computing and our ecosystem,” Microsoft wrote.
Azure Quantum can be used by the following to learn and build solutions based on the latest innovations, using familiar tools in the most trusted public cloud:
- developers
- researchers
- systems integrators
- customers
Furthermore, as stated in the announcement, the Unified Azure Quantum ecosystem will accelerate your R&D with access to:
- diverse quantum software and hardware solutions
- a network of leading quantum researchers and developers
- a robust resource library
- flexible self-service or tailored development programs for customers and systems integrators
