What’s new about the coming iPhones this 2020?
On July 22, 2020, Apple has released the third beta developer of iOS 14, which of course, comes with new features. And among the features included is the Display Zoom feature, which according to 9to5Mac, could give us a glimpse of the next-generation of iPhone.
Since the latest iOS 14 beta offers the Display Zoom feature, 9to5Mac was able to find out that the iOS 14 is ready to work on a new smaller screen.
Moreover, they strongly believe that the said interface is being prepared for the iPhone 12. Thus, it is rumored to feature a shocking 5.4-inch screen.
How did Display Zoom Feature Give it Away?
So how exactly the Display Zoom feature gave away an idea that the coming iPhone 12 is going to be smaller than the previous models of iPhones?
Here’s how it goes as explained by 9to5Mac: First of, the Display Zoom is a feature which users can use to make the interface elements of their phone such as texts, icons, and buttons, larger.
This feature changes the entire system interface to the one used by another smaller iPhone.
Thus, if your iPhone has a 5.5-inch screen, enabling the Zoomed Mode option will allow your phone to use the same interface as a 4.7-inch iPhone.
Since 9to5Mac have discovered that Apple has been working to adapt the iOS interface to a new smaller resolution, they believe that is truly is being prepared for the 5.4-inch screen of iPhone 12.
In addition to this prediction, The Verge has also made mention, on their report on July 23, 2020, that if the reports about the 5.4-inch iPhone are to be believed, it could be among as many as four new iPhones which are to be announced later this year.
