Think about what you want to see and how you want it to appear in your photo. In short, you have to identify what the composition will be. You can make use of rules in photo composition. But still, the best thing to do is to train yourself to analyze the scenes in your mind as you go along because this will help you in the long run.

3. Patience yields to success.

Just like in any other fields, you don’t always get it right with one shot. Or better yet, you have to wait until it feels right. In taking photos of landscapes, you have to allot time in one location. You might need to wait for the skies to be cleared or instead wait until the clouds form into something that will make the scene look better.

4. Own the scene.

You can always do something to make a  familiar landscape look different and more interesting in your own photo. All you need to do is look for new locations where you can have a different angle and then work on the composition.

5. Experiment.

Even if there are rules and techniques available for use, you can always do things in your own unique ways. Who knows, you might be able to discover a technique that will make your photos standout.
