Calling all the gamers and Star Wars fans! There is a new Star Wars game in development and it is going to be a product of the collaboration between the video game companies Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games.

This is the beginning of a long-term collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm Games, and we are pleased to be working hand-in-hand to build upon the incredible legacy of Lucasfilm to create a game that we know Star Wars fans will love.”

The said Star Wars game is going to be a story-driven open-world game. The development of the project will be led by Massive Entertainment, a Ubisoft Studio.
“Having the opportunity to build upon this incredible legacy of Star Wars feels extremely exciting and rewarding for all of us,” David Polfeldt, the managing director at Massive Entertainment, told Ubisoft News.
Ubisoft Creative Director Julian Gerighty bared that they are still working out many of the details but according to him, it is going to to be something different.
“We truly look forward to create something totally different from what we have done in the past, while upping the bar for the industry,” Gerighty stated.
Not much yet about the upcoming Star Wars game has been revealed, since as the Ubisoft Creative Director said, they are still working out the details; but such a simple update has already been enough to excite some true fans of Star Wars.
