According to a blog post of Sensor Tower which is the Top Apps Worldwide for January 2021 by Downloads, Telegram was the most downloaded non-gaming app worldwide for January 2021.

It was stated on the blog that Telegram has more than 63 million installs. And, this is 3.8 times its downloads in January 2020.

Here are the most downloaded non-gaming apps worldwide for January 2021 according to Sensor Tower:

India at 24 percent is the country with the largest number of Telegram installs.

Furthermore, the second most downloaded app is TikTok with almost 62 million installs. In December 2020, with close to 56 million installs, TikTok was the most downloaded non-gaming app worldwide.
