According to TechCrunch’s report, Snap, the parent company of Snapchat has acquired StreetCred, a digital mapping startup company.
On StreetCred’s website, the company wrote,” We’re a small group of individuals with deep experience in open mapping software and data, design, and engineering. We think the time is right for a high-quality, permanent, decentralized solution to the place data problem.”

The news was confirmed by Snap to TechCrunch and added that the acquisition will result in four StreetCred team members joining the company.
